Animals can’t talk. They can’t tell us when something is wrong. With EPWA (Horse Pain and Wellness App) training we can make you better at recognizing facial expressions that may indicate pain.
In addition, we use artificial intelligence to work on the automated recognition of facial expressions in horses and donkeys. For this we train the computers with special software to recognize the facial expressions of horses and donkeys (with and without pain). With the EPWA training module we can train the computer even better with you.
We developed and designed the training website for EPWA. With all the training data we gather we will be able to train computers to automatically recognize pain by facial expressions. Communicating with animals who can’t speak for themselves – now that’s e-heroic!
